The Boundless Edit

Quilts for Kids Nepal is creative business improving the lives of women in Boudhha, Kathmandu.  This powerful grassroots micro-finance project believes in empowering women in business within developing communities and facilitate a connection to like-minded businesswomen from all around the world to collaborate and share ideas and stories.

In late 2016 Mina was privileged enough to experience  #TheBoundlessEdit grassroots project first hand.  In collaboration with The Lilli Boisselet Foundation + Quilts For Kids Nepal she met some incredibly talented women in Kathmandu.

The #TheBoundlessEdit project focus on business women making their own money, and using the new income to allow children to attend school, sometimes the first generation to do so. Often, young girls are left behind when it comes to education so the foundation also works with communities to give girls equal access to learn and realise their potential for future generations. Mina was welcomed into the community to experience their way of life.  Collaborated with these local business women on quilt designs, colour palettes, textile selection whilst sharing laughs and chai in their homes.  Prior to the trip Mina raised funds in Australia to purchase winter jumpers for the kids to stay warm and distributed donated art supplies which the school desperately needed. Create change.  Make a difference.  Support women in business within developing communities as you will certainly make a difference.
